Sioux Center wins Safety Award for 1999 4-to-3 Lane Main Street Conversion (from 2000)

The following article by Tom McDonald, “Safety Circuit Rider,” recounts the success of the Main Street/Highway 75 lane reduction back in 1999-2000 when this article was written. THE CITY of Sioux Center received the Iowa Traffic Control and Safety Association’s (ITCSA) first Annual Achievement in Transportation Safety Award for a local improvement of significant importance in highway safety.
